DIRECTIONS TO THE FESTIVAL
Directions from IH-10
Follow IH-10 through Lake Charles. Take exit 30A and follow the service road under the IH-10 bridge. This service road passes directly in front of the former Player’s Island/Harrah’s Hotel Casino, then becomes Lakeshore Drive, which leads directly to the Lake Charles Civic Center.
Take IH-10 East from Houston to Lake Charles. Take Exit 29, which is the Lakeshore Drive/Downtown Exit. Follow Lakeshore Drive, which leads directly to the Civic Center.
Take Hwy. 171 south to Lake Charles. Turn right on Broad Street. Follow Broad Street to Civic Center. Take left on Lakeshore Drive to front entrance of Civic Center.

Festival tickets may be purchased at the door or on this website at our “Tickets” page. Tickets purchased online are charged a small convenience fee.
ADULTS: All Festival attendees thirteen (13) and above must purchase an adult ticket. Adult’s All Day Festival Pass ticket cost is $5.00 at the door. If purchased online, there is an additional convenience fee of $1.00 for a total ticket cost of $6.00 per ticket.
CHILDREN: All children age two (2) through twelve (12) must have a festival ticket. Children’s All Day Festival Pass ticket cost is $2.00 at the door. If purchased online, there is an additional convenience fee of $1.00, for a total ticket cost of $3.00 per ticket.
JAZZ AFTER DARK: Tickets can be purchased for $25 at the door, at the Lake Charles Civic Center Box Office or on Ticketmaster.com. This includes access to All Day Festival Pass, general admission seating, special performances, delicious light fare and cash bar premium cocktails. If tickets are purchased online, an additional charge of $1.50 applies, for a total ticket cost of $26.50.
WILL CALL: Tickets purchased online may be picked up at Will Call as early as 30 minutes prior to festival at the front doors of the Exhibition Hall. The customer must have picture ID, and confirmation number.
Festival seating is general admission. Jazz After Dark event tickets are available for VIP seating.
Festival purchases are cash only. Some vendors do take credit cards. ATM available in Civic Center lobby. No smoking allowed.
Bands and Solo Performers are responsible for all musical equipment needed for your performance. A sound system and engineer will be set up/available, but no backline instruments. All bands and performers will promote their participation in the Gulf Coast Shrimp & Jazz Festival on their social media sites.
Ample parking is available on the Civic Center grounds. Parking is located on the North and South ends of the building. There is no parking charge. Handicapped parking is adjacent to venue.
The Gulf Coast Shrimp & Jazz Festival is dedicated to be a catalyst in building and nurturing Jazz and promoting opportunities for jazz musicians by providing an educational forum through clinics, discussion panels, visual presentations, and workshops; to interpret and perpetuate the performance of Jazz by internationally celebrated artists as well as gifted local musicians; to encourage Jazz musicians to create and express Jazz through spontaneity and improvisation to share with our diverse communities and people that are uniquely Louisiana through festivals, programs, and other cultural, educational, civic, and economic activities.
